Sketch by Nicola Hicks

Nicola Hicks MBE born 1960 in London, Chelsea School of Art, Royal College of Art. Animals are Hicks’ primary subject, usually sculpted in straw and plaster. Elizabeth Frink selected her for a solo exhibition at the Angela Flowers gallery in 1985, when Hicks was only 24. Hicks has created a number of public sculptures and had major solo shows in Britain and around the world.
